The Gujarat government has been providing free factor injections for hemophilia patients since 2012, significantly improving their quality of life by preventing bleeding and easing daily activities. With over 3,000 patients in the state, including 500 in Surat, civil hospitals have distributed more than 11,800 free injections in the last two years under the leadership of CM Bhupendra Patel. This initiative, launched during Narendra Modi’s tenure as Chief Minister, covers the full cost of injections, priced between ₹25,000 and ₹30,000, ensuring accessible and life-saving treatment for patients.
